Introduction

Private blockchains are built for specific purposes, but these are like close-knit groups and exclusive. Sometimes, there could be issues with slower transaction speed, high fees, and network security. On the other hand, the overall Web3 landscape is evolving – what started with Bitcoin has now expanded to more than 1000 blockchains including base-layer (also called layer-1), layer-2 blockchains, and layer-3 networks. There is a need for a platform or solution to enable seamless communication between diverse blockchain networks for an inclusive, collaborative, and interconnected ecosystem.

As stated earlier, each blockchain offers its rules, protocols, assets, and community networks. However, cross-chain communication is a bit of a complex process. There is also a limitation in functionality and expanded reach, as you can't leverage any benefit of other chains. Their users are making trade-offs and missing the DeFi revolution, like interoperability. It is an exchange and circulation of digital assets and data between different blockchains for cost-effective, timely, and secure transfer between these relatively independent ecosystems.

ARMSwap is your solution to reduce these friction points significantly. ARMSwap is a leading cross-chain solution that offers the functionality to bridge and swap crypto assets on almost all blockchains and allows users to make fast and secure cross-chain transfers.

It lets you connect disparate blockchain networks under one roof, so you can process your cross-chain transactions, avoid high fees, and hence, utilize multiple features and services these blockchains offer.

ARMSwap is resolving the barrier to entry issue most blockchains have for new users that limits the potential of blockchain technology. By allowing different blockchains to communicate with each other, ARMSwap also gives developers and users the ability to create more powerful DApps.

General information

  • ARMSwap Cross-chain Bridge: Users can deposit their tokens into the protocol against one source blockchain and get wrapped tokens on a destination chain.

  • ARMSwap Cross-chain Swaps: Trade tokens issued on one blockchain with the tokens been issued on any other blockchain.

  • Distributed Control: ARMSwap processes cross-chain transfers in a completely distributed manner using SMPC protocol.

  • Liquidity: ARMSwap gives its users, an option to create liquidity pools or add liquidity in already created pool and take a reward on every successful swap.

  • Supported blockchains: At the time of ARMSwap launch, around 180+ leading blockchains are supported.

  • Native token name: ARMSwap token (ARMSP).

Let’s explore ARMswap's main service briefly.

ARMswap Cross-chain Bridge

The ARMSwap bridge marks a paradigm shifts in on-chain asset interoperability, eliminating the barriers between disparate blockchain networks. This revolutionary solution empowers seamless cross-chain interactions, allowing users to effortlessly transfer their assets across diverse blockchain environments.

ARMSwap bridge works on liquidity pool mechanism, where pools are created either by ARMSwap team or users. Sufficient liquidity for both tokens will be needed on both the chains that are in pair in pool. Users can then bridge their asset against the available pairs at ARMSwap protocol.

ARMswap Cross-chain Swap

ARMSwap’s cross chain swaps works or same mechanism of liquidity as its cross-chain bridges does. User can swap their tokens around 180+ blockchain, with any of their tokens if their swap pool exists, if not, users can grab this opportunity to earn by creating a swap pool by their own.

The ARMSwap leverages a robust Secure Multiparty Computation (SMPC) protocol which we have defined briefly here:

Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC)

SMPC is a way of exchanging information that involves multiple parties while still ensuring confidentiality and security.

Real-time ARMSwap core algorithm is executed within its SMPC Network, composed of independently operated nodes. These nodes execute a distributed signature algorithm with TSS (Threshold Signature Scheme) in real-time, enabling secure cross-chain requests. Strong cryptographic consensus guarantees the trustless execution of transactions.

A detailed explanation of these is provided in the later sections of this document.
